Every project tells a story - here's a few we're really proud of
We've been lucky enough to work on some pretty incredible projects over the years. From cozy family homes that actually feel like home, to commercial spaces where people genuinely want to spend their time - each one's been its own adventure. Browse through and see what we've been up to.
West Vancouver, BC
This one was a real learning experience for everyone involved. The family wanted net-zero energy, but they didn't want it to look like a science experiment. We worked for months getting the orientation just right, making sure every window placement counted. The result? They're basically not paying heating bills anymore, and honestly, you'd never guess it's a passive house from the curb appeal.
Downtown Vancouver, BC
The client wanted a tech office that didn't feel like every other glass box downtown. We ended up designing around natural light and airflow, which sounds simple but took some serious problem-solving. There's a living green wall in the main atrium that's become kind of Instagram-famous. More importantly though, the employees actually like being there, which was the whole point.
Whistler, BC
Building in the mountains means you're dealing with snow loads, wildlife considerations, and neighbors who really care about maintaining the natural beauty. This family wanted big windows to capture those views without creating a heat-loss nightmare. We used locally-sourced timber and worked with the natural slope instead of fighting it.
Granville Island, Vancouver
Converting an old warehouse into a food market is trickier than you'd think - there's ventilation, multiple cooking stations, customer flow to consider. We kept the industrial bones exposed because they had character, then softened everything with natural materials and tons of natural light.
Kitsilano, Vancouver, BC
This 1920s craftsman was in rough shape when we first saw it - foundation issues, outdated everything, but the bones were solid and the neighborhood designation meant we had to preserve the exterior character. We basically rebuilt the interior while maintaining that vintage charm outside. Added modern insulation, all-new systems, but kept the original woodwork and restored the windows instead of replacing them.
Mount Pleasant, Vancouver, BC
Vancouver's laneway housing boom has been interesting to be part of. This one's only 750 square feet, but it lives way bigger thanks to smart layout choices and plenty of light. The owners actually rent out their main house now and live here full-time - tells you something about how well the space works.
Richmond, BC
Medical spaces have their own set of rules - infection control, privacy requirements, accessibility standards that go beyond typical commercial work. But that doesn't mean they have to feel clinical. We focused on creating calming spaces with natural materials and views to the adjacent park. The staff told us patients are noticeably less anxious, which makes the extra effort worth it.
East Vancouver, BC
Six attached units that don't feel attached - that was the challenge. Each townhouse has its own character, private outdoor space, and enough sound insulation that you'd never know there's neighbors on the other side of the wall. We varied the facades just enough to avoid that cookie-cutter look while keeping construction efficient.
We're always excited to hear about new ideas and challenges. Whether you've got detailed plans or just a rough concept, let's grab a coffee and talk about what's possible.
